I've not had a lot of free time lately to turn, but needed a turning fix. I found this forlorn piece of mesquite hiding out on the backside of my shelf. Form is 7"x4" and finished with walnut oil. Thanks for looking.

Now you hand sanded the inside with the lathe running...right? That needs a candle since M&M's won't work. Very well done Nate!

Geeze, some people will do ANYTHING to avoid having to blow the chips out of a hollow form. :D

That came out very nice, Nate. Great form. :thumb:

I know we're been saying this for over a year now, but I need to get off my duff and get over to your side of the mountain one of these weekends. Unfortunately, this one is looking pretty full for me.

Thanks for the kind comments all. Sure is nice when the wood makes you look good.

Jim, sanded with the lathe off, used a flap sander and then hand sanding through the side. Not perfectly smooth

Vaughn, and I'm still waiting for you to come up, no 80 mph winds, 10 degrees cooler than in town, lots of green trees and a green lathe!
