Spalted Maple Pen and Pencil

The pens look great for choice of wood, color and workmanship.

However, I am torn. I like the "hour-glass" shape pen for comfort in writing. However #2, I do not like the "hour-glass" shape for looks.

As my wife's brother would say, "That's one darn fool's opinion."

Hey, Vaughn. Can you slow the Kamakazie squirrel? I'd sure like to see what he/she looks like in motion.
 
Lookin' good so far Ray! Like the other JB mentioned...the fat lady pen is not much fun. But Slims are the easiest pen in the world to modify!! You can make them fatter by making your own center band...really easy! What kind of finish did you use?

I did a CA finish. When making your own center band, do you just cut a tube down to the right thickness, and turn to the desired size?
