What if animals were round?

If mice were round we could use them for tennis balls.

Or cannon balls. :D

Years ago I worked with Max, an engineer who was also in the Army National Guard. (Retired Navy Seal doing the Guard gig for a bit of extra income.) He told stories of the "mouse cannon" one of his fellow Guard soldiers had made to solve a rodent problem at the local armory. He took two narrow tin cans, cut both ends out of one and taped them together into a single long can (barrel). Then he took a run of the mill extension cord with a male plug on one end and bare wires on the other, soldered one wire to the cans (ground) and stuck the other stripped end through a hole in the bottom of the can (hot), using the wire's insulation to keep it from making contact with the metal. They put a dab of peanut butter on the bare wire end, set the contraption down along a well-traveled mouse trail in the warehouse, plugged it in, then turned off the lights and waited. (Knowing Max, I suspect there was beer involved.) Before long, they heard scritching sounds, followed by a loud pop and a flash of flame as the roasted mouse was shot across the warehouse floor. Hence, the mouse cannon was born. And come to think of it, a steel tennis ball can would work well as a mouse cannon. :D
