I've not had a lot of time for turning lately. Between work, school, working on the house and my new rifle, things have been busy. My dad found a scrap piece of rosewood and asked me to make something for him. I've wanted to try a square bowl/plate thingy for some time. 8.5"x8.5" and a single coat of WOP. The picture gives the impression that the feet aren't touching, it's an artifact of the little pedestal it's on under the back drop. Thanks for looking.

Forget about the feet not touching thing...there was a thread many years ago on a marginal forum that mentioned that. The guy did some beautiful work and gotta a smack down because it wasn't this and wasn't that. Wood is beautiful, form is not easy and looks great!! Pop is gonna love it and you did a great job of keeping those knuckles close to getting skinned!!!
Now...what classes are you taking and what do you want to do when you grow up? My sweetie asks me the same stuff on a monthly basis!!
