same thing I was thinking.
nothing like looking through the burn box to find enough to make parts for a build. ofcourse, then you have to have talent like bryan to turn that out.

I had loaded 2 cardboard boxes of scraps in the pickup yesterday to give to a bud at the coffee shop. Then I'm back out there last night in the cold looking for some small pieces to make the knobs for the back legs, LOL!
90 minutes on the lathe today and I got 2 knobs done.
Now to assembled chair #2

I give 95% of my scraps to my son and my next door neighbor, both have outdoor fire pits.
Sometimes I go into his covered bins next door if I need a small short piece of sapele or cherry. He laughs at me.
While I pulled out some walnut pieces for the table I just made, I pulled out a bunch of 3-4 inch pieces and glued them all up into blocks. Figured during the winter Ill practice making tops for bottle stoppers.
