Christmas present done, made for the "Family Free-for-all" gift exchange, so no idea who will end up with it.

A simple cheeseboard, knocked together from scrap bits I had on hand (There's virtue in saving those little off-cuts - no matter how insignificant they seem)

Strips & stripes, Purpleheart, Wenge, Bubinga, Sycamore, Red Oak, Maple, Walnut, and some Spalted Sycamore.

cut & glue, cut & glue, cut & glue, plane, trim, sand, varnish, sand, varnish, sand, varnish....y'all know the drill.

Thanks for looking,

theres nothing more rewarding than making something out of all the scraps.
nice looking board.
(that's a reason when I have a 1/2 inch strip left over sometimes, I make sure its straight on both sides before I throw it onto the scrap pile)
