Very cool, I love this guy's videos, very entertaining.

I have to wonder about the sled, walnut (looked like walnut?) to me would not be a good choice, I very much doubt there is much walnut around in the North. I would think that Birch would be the wood of choice? That steamer was WAY overkill, funny as all get out, and it worked, but man talk about a tool that you are not going to keep :D

Also I'll be really impressed when he mines his own ore and makes his own steel then forges his own tools..... ;)
 
Awesom video. And it took a lot of worK, as well as skill, just to make the vidio. Don't get me wrong because I like using hand tools. But I like to think that the old timeres would have used power tools also if they would have been around in their day. I loved watching the video though. Green Walnut is an easy wood to work though.
