LOML works for a community charity, and every year they have a Fund Raiser/Auction/Poker Night. She asked if I could make a display board for the table next to the door. She wanted it to be an Octagon reminiscent of an old poker table. this is what I came up with.
It's ¼" luan plywood with redwood borders. 24" across the flats. It has a leg in the back, but for a some reason I didn't take a picture of the back (getting old I guess)
Started making an octagon template from MDF
Double sided taped to the template
Trimmed to size
Rabbiting the border pieces
Trimming the ends
Assembling
Finished
