I've got to exercise my turning muscle a bit, as I'm going to be putting on a Demo in June, so I thought I should dust off the lathe and start to do some turning daily if I can, just to get back at it, it's been a while....
12" in diameter, about 1" at the rim, the body is about 3/8" thick.
I've wanted to turn a platter or serving tray out of this wood for a LONG time, and now I've done it!
It has only a coat of sanding sealer on it and these are just iPhone pics, so I'll put a better finish on it and take some better pics at some point too.
Nice to be back making a LARGE mess in the Dungeon on the lathe again!
