Some recent turnings - Spindle work

After moving shop business has been doing okay, and woodturning jobs still trickle in from time to time. Here are some photos of a few of these jobs. The octagonal table was a family heirloom I rebuilt last year. The top was made from wood from the customer's grandfather's land in Germany, and it was handcarved by his grandfather in 1913.

Nice job on the table and chair. The table looks like I'd imaging it did originally, nice to see a piece like that brought back to life, I'm sure the owner was happy! His grandfather did a nice job on the carvings!

What were the batch of pieces with the two beads on the top of them for?

Ryan - The carvings on this table are very good! I was quite impressed! Also, those beaded sapele parts were for an exterior trim application. Some building in downtown Grand Rapids, MI (my city) is basically restoring the outside, and these were a sort of plinth block that has roping continuing up from it.
