Dad was up in the shop today and happened to notice one of my old oscillating saw blades from my living room project in the trash. He picked it out and suggested that I take the belt sander to it and put a scraper edge on it. GREAT IDEA!

So I did...

He said my BIL actually showed him this, he uses them for scraping gaskets off engines/machinery.

I remember YEARS ago always being on the lookout for power hacksaw blades.

I bet many folks don't even know what that is.

They made the BEST gasket scrapers.

I have a beast of a hunting knife made by my granddad out of a power hacksaw blade back in the WWII days. (He made knives for his son and all of his nephews to carry during the war. I ended up with one of them.) I also have a second one that he never quite finished shaping. One of these days I plan to do it myself.
