Been having a few days in the shed spaced between all the spring gardening chores, (see bits and pieces) just thought you would like to see this mornings effort, warts and all.

Yew 166mm dia.

Nice warts there, Chaz. :thumb: Lots of interesting stuff going on with that wood, and you did a very nice job of showing it off.
 
Have several 'challenging' pieces of wood to tackle with associated splits, shakes and bark/branch inclusions, I guess there is some sort of perverse satisfaction in walking out of the shed with something that has stayed in one piece.

Disapointing knowing full well that given time and exposure to light the Yew pieces will take on a much darker hue, just hope nobody puts them on a sun lit windowsill or above a radiator else they may self destruct.
