    First Fruits

This isn't much, but it's a start. I need to take some more courses to refine my skills, but I got some skew practice with the candlestick. This is a knob for my knockout bar, and a candlestick, both unfinished, in cherry.

Perspective makes it look a little odd, but the bottom and top of the candlestick are the same size.

Boy I bet that felt really good!

Thank you all, again. Yes, it did feel really good. Turning is my favourite part of woodworking. I still need more practice with all the tools, but I can make stuff. I have a kit for a peppermill that I intend to do when I get a chuck, but you know what the road to Hell is paved with. Memsahib just wanted to know if I used "my" money or "our" money to pay for it. Of course I used my money, but anything else I buy this month is coming out of our money. If it doesn't rain too much the rest of teh week, I should get some practice in, before I go butchering $10 cuts of hardwood.
    Cheers,
    Roger
