Apologies to those who might have seen this on Facebook, but this followed me home Saturday...

For those who care about the specifics, it's a PRS SE Custom 24 with a Floyd Rose. Plays and sounds great, is beautifully built, and was at a great sale price. And most importantly, it's purple curly maple. :D

PRS is Paul Reed Smith, one of the better brands on the market these days. Kind of the BMW of the guitar market. They hold their resale value as good or better than any of the brands out there. PRS sells two lines of guitars, the SE line, which is made in Korea, and the regular line made in Maryland. The SE guitars retail for about $900 to $1200, with street prices from about $600 to $900, and they are very well made and highly regarded. Street prices on the American-made ones start at about $1200 and go over $5000. This one retails at about $1100, streets at about $850, and I got it for a couple hundred less than that. :thumb:

Dan, there are some advantages to living 800 miles away from the wife. ;) And at least this new toy will pay for itself fairly quickly. :thumb:
