Drawing Splayed Legs in Sketchup

I was looking for a tutorial on drawing splayed legs in Sketchup. I found one...

I still need to figure out how to draw in round mortises a the right angles for the stretchers, I suspect I need to just draw a round tenon and intersect it into the leg component, correct?

I haven't started a drawing yet, was planning to work on it some tomorrow while I'm off.

Also, in that video Joe shows how to adjust the bounding box of the leg size so that cut-list interprets the right size of wood for the part. It does require a plugin on his site (http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1761). I don't know enough about cut-list or other plugins though to know if there is newer/improved way to do this.
