Alternative use of jig and drill press

I was stripping line off some reels at my workench when this idea popped in my head.

I dug out a scrap of 2" long 1x6 pine cutoff from the trash bin. Split it into a few pieces with a claw hammer. Nailed a 6 penny finish nail in about an inch. Made a 3/16" hole in my lockset jig. Chucked and clamped to the drill press.

The neat part is the block will spin on the nail when it comes to the end of the line.

Pretty cool solution, Dan. :thumb:

I can't help but laugh at the twisted idea of you posting just a single picture and explaining all the steps you took to build this new project:

In NH one gets a free combo Hunting/ Fishing license once they reach they age of 68. Guess they feel that going out at that age is enough of a challenge that most won't use their free license. Feels good to get something free from the government.:thumb:
