Cedar Keepsake Box with a twist

I made this Cedar Keepsake box for friend who makes jewelry for kids in the hospital. He has never did anything for himself so I made this for him. The twist was the Inlays he still want let anyone touch it :yes:

Unless I'm greatly mistaken that looks like a take off of a Charlie Russell painting - one of my favorite artists of all time.

Found it actually a bronze here, but I seem to remember there being a painting as well.

Nice interpretation! I'm guessing that's eastern cedar from the look of it?

Aromatic Cedar yes from Georgia here, resawed it an did the finger joints, the drawing came from a scrowsaw book I have
