help, big bowls, big problems

the second bowl was much easier, one catch on the upper outside, so I smoothed it out and decided to just leave it as is until it dries a bit more.(right at the top of the outside is the area I had a catch and smoothed it out, but still needs to be done more)
No catches inside, and no problems chucking it up at all.
I think that punky wood on the other piece gave me all my headaches.
second one...it was a bigger piece but had a bad crack near one side and I didn't want to start with epoxy, so I just cut that piece off.

I need to build some shelves and boxes to hold all my lathe stuff, need to clean off the way in back of the lathe and just do it.
Im reluctant, might be the way down into the vortex and might not look back at my flatwork projects if I start building cabinets to hold my turning supplies.
