So, am I the only one who thinks the bottom of the legs look fatter than the tops? Something weird about the perspective is fooling my eye...

No. You're not the only one. I think they do, too. Of course I drew them so they would be slightly larger at the bottom so I fully expected them to look fatter.
As it turned out, the client for whom this was one proposal idea decided they wanted something like they could buy at Walmart in a flat pak. Really dull but my client, the cabinet maker got the job and we both got paid.
