Once again, go talk to a local cabinetmaker, and see if they'll sell you slides. I'm paying <$18 for a set of Blum undermount slides with soft close. The locking devices are about $5 a pair depending on what you need them to do.
I use Blum 563H slides for just about everything. The exemptions are big pantry pull outs, and trash rollouts. Trash rollouts I've been using a sidemount 100# class KV slide, for pantry pull outs I've also been using a KV slide, but in the 500# class. I'm going to step up to a 250# slide for the trash roll outs. People just beat the snot outta those for some reason.
I have not had good luck with the KV8400's that have the built in soft close. The soft close feature is made from really crummy plastic, and they just don't seem to work well, or hold up. Your mileage may vary.
