This is a couple of Chalice and Paten's I started back in 2013.... the patens were mostly finished except for the taking the tenons off the bottom, but couldn't figure how I was going to make the matching chalice... finally realized (actually LOML made me realize) the chalice's didn't have to be really as big as I was thinking... I had a couple of pepper mill blanks laying around that i could use that would work perfectly... These are turned from Ambrosia Maple, both the plates and the chalices... the plates were from a board and the chalice's from the pepper mill blanks.... they're finished with Tung oil and buffed with Carnuba. The inside of the chalices were painted with a plexiglas solution so they are coated and fully useable.

The chalice is 8 inches tall and about 3 inches diameter, the plate is 10 1/2 inches diameter and one inch high.

This one the chalice is about 9 inches tall and 3" dia... the plate is again 10 1/2 x 1 inches.
