Hey Jason,
I've been watching your videos on the guitar build and found the videos on making the fret sawing rig. The question I have is: I have the same Grizzly metal lathe, but mine doesn't have the same tool post.

Can you give some info on the changes you made. I've found the cutters available (5/16") for the stock tool post very limited and the quality poor.

Appreciate any info.

Dan

Hey Dan!

Good eye - you're right. I did replace the toolpost. That's an A2Z qctp from LMS - link here: http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=3691&category=-419988835

When I got that, it wasn't long before I was not excited about needing an allen wrench to change the angle of the tool, so I turned my own screw/bolt with a nice long handle out of aluminum. That has been holding my toolpost in place ever since. It's not as strong or rigid as a steel one would be and now that I've got some 12L14 steel, I may turn a replacement just for increasing the rigidity. One day, I'll get around to that :D
