Well finally got to use the Monster HF tool from Randy. Boy is it a joy to use. Sure does make hollowing easier. I thought I would take a piece of wood and practice before I really got into it. This is a piece of wormy hickory with a cedar collar. It is 6 1/4" tall and 5" across. It is finished with Minwax Antique Oil and buffed. The LOML already has plans of dried flowers and sitting on her desk at work.

Way to go, Bernie! Glad to see you finally got the rig dirty. The end result looks very nice, too. Having a captive tool sure reduces the stress levels, huh?

Thanks guys. I am glad I got some time to get the tool dirty. This was just suppose to be a practice piece but using the tool was so easy it came out far better than I had anticipated. I have a piece of Walnut from Mark Cothren that I didn't want to ruin in next.
