Tight Wire Chairs

I agree with Rob. Those joints look about as perfect as perfect can get. You can hardly see any wood putty in them at all. (I know, I know...just yanking your chain. Seriously fine work.)

This is the largest, flattest surface I have, I've checked it and it is flat.

I had to take off about 1\32" or 0.5mm from one leg to get it sitting perfectly flat with no wobble, it was that close after the glue up  :thumb:

Ok on to the next one!

Cheers!

Going to steam bend the next set of back legs, this time I'm going to soak the think board before they hit the steam box.

I made up a little box that I double lined with a thick plastic bag.

There are hold down flaps as the boards will want to float, should work well, I hope.

Filled with water, I'll wait until tomorrow to put them in the steam box.

Cheers!

Steam box? I must have missed that post.

Yeah, the rear legs are bent laminations, they have to splay back 7 degrees and out to each side 3 degrees, so I make the blanks wide and bend the 7 degrees into the leg, and cut the 3 degrees on the bandsaw.
