A while back I posted my laser addition to my cnc. After having it a while it seemed like removing the router each time I wanted to use the laser would be a pain. This week I ordered some weaver scope/accessory rails and a scope riser for it.

Weaver Rail: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006LQ9UNU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Scope Riser: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M9IL5YQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I used a piece of 1.5" aluminum angle to mount the weaver rail to on my router head.

The scope mount was screwed to the laser's mounting board with a tee on the back to allow me to keep the laser over the cnc bed as much as possible, but I will lose a few inches in width.

This will allow me to quickly add the laser when I want to used it and remove it to keep dust and chips from clouding the lens when not in use.

Very neat solution well done.

Ted that is one heck of a device. Did not see what they want for it but knowing what difficulty it is to make a device to do what that does its worth a good dollar.
Its no easy feat to get a light beam to exit a mount parallel to its mount housing. btdt in manufacturing.
