Smoker with Blue tooth control

Wifi would be nice, but bluetooth is probably goodenough, depending on the version. It's certainly got as much range as my old fashioned radio linked maverick bbq thermometer, lol.

Nice, saw them a while back. Not sure if they are class 1 (30 meters) or class 2 (10 meters), but both devices would need to be class 1 to get 100 meters, not many phone manufacturers use class 1, so best it would go is 10 meters.

See www.bbqguru.com It hooks the smoker pit temperature to a blower on the air vent, thus automatically controlling the temperature of the pit, and has three meat temperatures. It hooks to your router, so you can open it to the internet - my son monitors it from work or from his smart phone, including adjusting as required. The automatic control even manages the ramp - when the food approaches the target temp it cuts back on heat to avoid overcooking. If I promise not to change anything, he gives me the password so I can watch what is cooking 200 miles away.
