Well one month down 11 to go.
Supposed to go to a group hunting party this evening but rain and snow may hinder that.
So I have no plans this weekend but to be in the shop tomorrow and wide open for Sunday

My wonderful, beloved daughter is in hospital undergoing labour today, so I think I know how my weekend will be taken up. :thumb:

I hope all goes well Roger!

Getting a nor'easter here today into tomorrow, with a classic mix of Maritime weather: rain, changing through freezing rain, sleet, ice pellets to snow. Up to 40 cm north of here. Could be tractor time tomorrow. Some routine small farm work and shop time.

Out of town for a memorial service and spending a few extra days visiting friends. Will be back home the end of next week. And preparing to preach at a new church on the 14th. May result in a new job. :thumb:

Bobbie and I are preparing to leave our hotel in Cocoa Beach, FL and take the short drive to Port Canaveral. In a couple of hours, we'll board the Carnival Sunshine for an 8-day cruise to Aruba, Bonaire and Grand Turk. Needless to say, so shop time until about Feb.15. Maybe we can find something to do for the next several days!

Y'all play nice while we're gone!!!

Family movie night tonight...movie yet to be chosen. Tomorrow I'll get some shop time first thing in the morning to apply more oil to some decorative sculptural pieces that will be consigned at my inlaws design and furniture store. Tomorrow night is a game night with a couple other families. Smoked brisket and pull pork with all the usual sides to eat and some real moonshine from the hills of TN "might" be sampled. One of the friends grew up with moonshine as the family business and he just returned from a trip home. (small sips only :D) Sunday mostly shop time while tending to some ribs and wings in the smoker for the "big game" Rooting for Peyton and the Broncos. Who do you all have?

Need to get the rest of the xmas decorations back in the attic, change the oil in the truck (brakes maybe). May work on more stuff on the pinball adding LED flashers and working on the plunger idear. Other than that, spending time with the grandson, so not much of the fore-mentioned will get done. :)

Usual afternoon at the food bank, Also looking forward to a short visit with carol as she is stopping by on her way up to Payson. I am getting rid of an old Treddle sewing machine thats been taking up space for 6 or so years. It's left over from when I did furniture restoration. She is welcome to it. Not much planned for the rest of the weekend I might watch the super bowl only because it'sfoot ball but i really don't care who wins.

Nothing much here either... worked on the kitchen remodel some today... I've torn the back side off a cabinet that sits next to the stove.. the cabinet had one door on the stove side that was 12" wide and only access to the cabinet... it's 48" wide and only way you could reach things on the far end was hands and knees and crawl into the cabinet... took the back off and putting doors there to access from breakfast area side of it. We're re-purposing some doors from the local Habitat store, so Monday I'll take them over to a friends house as he has a much bigger and better table saw to cut them down to size. Also have some louver doors for the laundry room that I need to trim and hang.

Sunday we're having company for dinner and the super bowl. May some shop time tomorrow.

Baby sitting grandkids while dad takes daughter to father/daughter dinner. Sunday church then Superbowl. Who cares???? But the food will be good.

Saturday during the day I need to brush up on a couple dozen songs, then Saturday night I'm playing a show with my #2 band at Thunder Road, the steak house/lounge at Route 66 Casino, about 20 minutes west of town. This will be my first time playing this venue...should be interesting. The stage rises up from below ground and ends up about 10' off the ground, behind the back bar.

Sunday will be spent doing chores around the house, then in the afternoon we may end up going to some friends' house to watch the game. We'll be there more for the food than the football.

Friday night was our 1st Lions club annual Chili cook off and ice cream social. We had about 250 people show up even though school was closed because of snow. My wifes chili was voted "peoples choice" award :). I think we raised about $1800.00 for a local charity.
Tonight is family game night at the church and tomorrow just hanging out and watching the game .
