It has been interesting so far. Progress is a bit slower than I hoped. But a milestone has been reached.

Utilized a non-traditional engine lift - in this case, a fork lift!

Still another hour and half of fiddling around, but .....success!

Time to go home and get my hands clean again! Only one busted knuckle so far. Band-aid time.
 
Looks much easier than some of the way's I've had to remove engines before, have used the 3 point hitch of a tractor before. Very little control over the lift rate other than throttling down the engine to the point it would kill it if we lifted too fast, but what works, works! :thumb:
 
Clean? Hardly. Unless you were looking for rust. Not much of that. But grease and oil everywhere. Mixed with dirt into a messy muck. Lots of cleaning ahead.

Tonight we used the forklift to put the thing 2 feet into the air on jack stands.
