OK this will be my last bowl for a while, reduced my unturned stock a fair bit, proved to myself that I still have it, so if my buddy Kyle and I can ever get our schedules to match up I can give him a good day of turnings his beech blanks.

I did not do great on the thickness, the long sides are just a bit thicker than the short sides but by the time I figured that out, I was too late to go back.

One coat of Watco natural oil and then a few coats of Coconut oil and beeswax mix buffed on at high speed.

I'm sure my lovely wife will find a new home for this one too!

Cheers!

There ain't nothing wrong with a nicely turned natural edge bowl. I like this and I turn a fair amount of them. In fact I need to beef up my stock of them. They are generally fast sellers.

Thanks guys, I was pleased at how well the bark hung on for the ride!
The wife said it was "interesting" LOL

WOW - that is absolutely amazing.

I know it's round, only because I know you did it on a lathe. Otherwise, I cannot tell it is round by the pictures.

I love the natural edge. You nailed it there.

The grain and the shape are stupendous.

WOW - what a job.
