I grabbed 4 FIR 2x4 studs from the shed. Lowes around here has some nice fir 2x4's.

I cut 8 pieces 38" long

I face jointed and edge jointed, table saw parallel.

Then I glued them up.

Tonight I used a 1-1/4 bit and faced the panel flat.

It is now a 25 x 38 x 1-3/8 fir panel.

Cost so far = about $10

Gonna make something cool.

Well at least "I" think it's cool

Cutting with 3 flute coated end mill at 12000 RPM and 352 IPM
