What are these? (I had to ask.)

These are items that are made by many members of the Woodturners Guild. One of the members made 100 of them last year, and is aiming to make 10 a month this year. Do you know what they are for?

Of course, I mean the seven items on the left. I knew what the items on the right were.
 
A turner friend of mine in England turns those and calls them mushrooms. But, he never said what they were for and I can only guess. Looks like just some decoration piece to me. Outside of that don't get me to lying.
 
Ding-dong! We have a winner! They are wig stands. Several members of the club make a lot of these and donate them to cancer organizations. They are for patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, and require wigs. Very generous, I thought.
