Chairs, Trailer, and 6 Foot Turnings

Hey all,

Things with the business have been crazy lately; business is booming at the moment! So here are a few things that I've completed lately.

1.) Four stools/chairs made to match existing ones. They are made with oak, and have spring loaded (self-centering) swivel mechanisms. These were fun. I got to make curved substrates for the backs, and the jointery was very interesting. The legs are splayed in two directions, and the food rail frame had to set in a tight 3/8" dado parallel to the floor. Figuring this out was a neat little challenge!

2.) Car trailer converted to a mobile retail photography business. This was done for a relative. To start I gutted the factory model. I then had to attach the ceiling and walls in a nearly screwless manner. Plywood floor, stained and varnished. Laminated customer viewing tables and sales counter with cabinet.

3.) Western Red Cedar 3rd story balcony parts. Scrolled infill panels and 6 foot turned posts. I actually got to use my monster lathe!! Glued with recorsinol glue thanks to the helpful advice from other forum members. Thanks! This just went out yesterday.

Now to move on to a few kitchen islands, a vanity, 7 newel posts, liturgical furniture, built-in shelves, some laminate counters, and my group build project. I think my summer is pretty well booked!
