I make little lidded boxes that I call salt cellars... I use the bottoms off of my wine glasses for lids. Two weeks ago I had a short run on the supply I had... a lady from San Diego was in Knoxville visiting and wanted one, but decided to walk around a bit before she bought... she came back and hers was gone.... she asked if I would make her one... I don't usually do custom orders.. too much trouble if the party has something specific in mind... this lady evidently was working Fen Shui as the first one I made she didn't like and wanted another shape, so I made another, she thought the top was wrong, I've fixed that and it was too tall.... main reason I don't do custom orders. I've made up these to show her next weekend... she can pick from them or go home without one... I've spent way too much time on something that will be a $35 sale.
These are mostly magnolia wood, but have a white cedar (with red knob as I only had one little piece of white cedar), memosa and a white oak. The white oak was beginning to get a little punky and had some work holes that I patched... not so happy with my patch job... if she doesn't like it, may give the piece to my friend that gave me the wood...
Sorry about the sideways photos... my phone photos always seem to flip over even though in my picture program I've straightened them.... also have a couple of duplicates in this batch... only 7 cellars in this run.
