I'm on the final steps of my walnut slab project and need some input from the braintrust here. For the past few weeks, I've been rubbing ARS onto the slab, letting it sit a few minutes, then wiping it off completely. As a final coat, I used a cotton rag dipped in ARS and wiped it on so it would be a thicker layer. It looks good overall, but when you really look at it, there are streaks from the cloth. I don't have enough nibs to count, just the streaks. One process I've used on other projects is buffing with FF pumice. In some cases, I'll do a final buffing with rottenstone.

Since this is my first time using ARS, I'd like to know how you handle the final step(s).

Thanks!
