do it or go cheap?

My daughter has asked me to make a large cutting board for her boy friend. I agreed. Have made several for family and the like. But, yesterday my wife was in the local Bit Lots and found a large board for $3.00. Makes on question the wisdom of going to the effort to make one. But, I like doing things for the family and enjoy making these boards so I will do it. Satisfaction and seeing smiles worth a lot more than three bucks.

Do it and make it special.

Why ask? Just do it and make someone happy.

Yup you knew the answer. There is always something cheaper around but not hand crafted by you to be passed on.

Yep. I'm sure they know these can be bought cheap but they wanted one from me. That is flattering, especially when my 'baby' asks. Can't turn down my daughter.
