Recently in another post I mentioned the link belt on my table saw had stretched considerably and needed several links removed. All was well. I thought. The other day I was using the ts and the blade stopped cutting. Sure 'enuf, when I checked the belt I found it had stretched MORE. Interrupted my work and removed several more links and all is well again. Not a big deal but it I an interruption to the work. I don't know when this will stop, it has to sometime. Other than that I like the link belt concept. TS runs smoother and quieter. Other good news is I'm getting in some shop time making stuff for Christmas gifts for relatives.

No input on the link belts (although mine have never stretched), but glad to see you're getting in some shop time, Frank. :thumb:

...I paid $26.00 for this at HF. What do they cost from elsewhere?

About $40.00 elsewhere for the 'real thing.'

That said, I'm using the HF version on my Jointer and was using it on my old bandsaw. Never had a problem with stretch. Other than color, the actual construction (fiber reinforced rubber, like a tire) seems the same as Fenner's.
