This is a nicely spalted piece of box elder, one of the largest hollow forms I've finished to date. It's about 7" wide by 5 1/2" tall. I tried something a little different for the rim, and I'm still deciding if I'll use it on other pieces in the future.

This is another one finished with Formby's Tung Oil mix inside and out, but I started the buffing with white diamond, then finished up with Renaissance Wax. There a little tinge of red up by the rim, but there are also some green highlights on one of the sides.

What are your thoughts on this one, especially the rim?

Vaughn....I really like this one! The wood, form and finish are great. I like the lip technique. I gives the piece an even "lighter/thinner" appearance. Well done sir!
