Cyclone chip barrel to lid seal question.

What type of rubber seal have you all used for your chip barrel to lid? Any type of material better than the rest? Is there something that works well and is easy to apply? I'll be making my lid out of 3/4" MDF, so the top should be smooth enough for something to stick to well. TIA! Jim.
