Turned from a Y branch, the bottom of the Y is the bottom of the HF. Lots of bug holes, bark, and a big void on one side. 7" x 7", finished with deft spray lacquer.

Very nice, Curt. :thumb: Great wood, and you did it proud. I'll bet that big ol' hole in the side made is easy to sand, huh? :rofl: (At least you didn't have to stop to blow the chips out of the inside when you were turning it.)
 
If there is anything that will get your 100% undivided attention while you are turning, it's turning something like THAT! :D

Looks awesome Curt. I love the color and all that is going on with this HF. Yep................that's a dandy! :thumb:
