Another NE... this wood was scored over a year ago from some folks who had the trees removed and sold the logs to a veneer company. I got the leftovers...:thumb:

Anybody who thinks you can't turn a NE from wood that was (a) cut in the summer, and (b) has set on the ground for quite a while, then I would say ya never know until ya try...

It ended up 9" x 7-1/2" x 5" and I used antique oil.

Comments/critiques/suggestions/opinions are welcomed.

Ya know mark, I think once you get a little practice, you'll probably do well at these NE bowls.

Another typically gorgeous bowl, Mark. Great job.

Hey Mark, I really like that, and all your NE bowls. How do you stabilize the bark? It looks very fragil on that one. On the couple of NE I have tried it was a challenge keeping the bark intact. Barry

Thanks everyone... Barry, my answer to your question is light cuts and sometimes lots of CA - as was the case with this one. I wasn't sure if the bark would hold on or not, so I tightened it up with thin CA. But even with CA you have to take your time and take light cuts.
