Need router bit

I am looking for an upspiral carbide bit, 3/8" dia x 1/4" shank. I checked all the catalogs and none are listed. They list 3/8" and 1/2" shank, but no 1/4". Can anyone help me?

I have never seen one. Spirals are solid carbide and I'm not sure a large head on a small shaft is a good idea with solid carbide(?). You will be able to find a 3/8" shear-cut with a 1/4" shaft; CMT and others have these. Is this for a laminate trimmer? If a 1/4" collet regular router, could you make multiple passes?

I don't know about this request, but when I have challenged the folks at www.woodline.com they have always been willing to custom make a bit for what I consider in-stock prices and service.

I also am concerned about a solid carbide bit (brittle) with a larger diameter on a 1/4 inch shaft.

Small Correction/Clarification

I must point out that not ALL Spiral bits are Carbide, they are also many made from HSS, but I still don't think I have ever seen any spiral bit where the cutting part is a larger diameter than the shank.
