Sycamore with a little Bloodwood added. This piece ended up 11" tall and 8-1/2" wide. Antique oil is the finish. I'm very anxious and curious to hear some honest opinions on this one.

Mark, my first words were "oh my goodness." You know that I'm not advanced enough as a turner to offer any valid criticism, but if I were, I wouldn't be able to find anything to criticise any way. I LOVE this piece. It's very elegant, and the form lets the wood talk for itself. That little "collar" just sets off the sycamore. Great job!

I forget from time to time that you do stuff other than natural edge bowls. :p This piece proves you most definitely do. Great stuff, Mark. The more I look at it the more I like the collar. Took a little bit. ;) I'm guessing the pics only approximate how nice it looks in person. :thumb:

Mark, wonderful, wonderful. And what a very nice collar.!
Wish I was able to grab it. Very very good job. :thumb:
