Finish that won't dry

the other option for a rattle can lacquer job in high humidity is very light coats.....blushing occurs when the top of the film flashes off with moisture trapped below it...

i hate to say it, but i think i'm going to go back to the water based poly. i know pros hate poly's but the finish i'm getting from the spray can is very uneven. i think because of the large area that the spray can't provide enough coverage and at an angle ever spray line shows much glosser then right next to it. i try to overlap and then go across immediately the other direction but it doesn't seem to help. i know i can get a reasonable finish with the brush. can i put water based poly straight over the lacquer or do i need to spray some shellac in between? On another note, Tod, i went to your web sight and you have an amazing amount of talent. your wide range of skill is surely at the top of the woodworking craft. i hope to someday be able to produce such well crafted pieces.:)
