Putting Jaws on a Nova 2 Chuck

Stu

Some people here know how to work with Wood and Metal!

I'm still learning to work with wood!

I'll get the proper insert somehow

Problem solved

Just got an email from Roger Durst at Craft Supplies USA
http://woodturnerscatalog.com/

He is getting the proper insert and will send it on and I can exchange the old one. He said go ahead and use it, just don't run the lathe in reverse!

Nice dealing with people that solve problems for you!

Yep, Roger is a nice guy. I just bought something across the counter from him last week. He's the official "lathe man" at Craft Supplies. We had our woodturning club meeting in their classroom building this month, and he kept the showroom open a little longer than usual so we could get our too-infrequent "fix". :) Kinda sad to see the open pizza box behind the counter though.... :(

I wish I had remembered to ask him about a source for good replacement bearings for my Delta Midi...

Insert reinserted, and locking screw in place

Titan chuck on the lathe, with locking screw.

That took maybe 20 minute, including taking the pics, MUCH easier for me to do than send it back to the US and wait for the exchange insert.

Cheers!
