Did a try out with my new mitre saw, by making a low profiled segmented bowl.
Still I have to make fit the last segment in a segmented ring, so I'm not fully satisfied.
Miss a belt sander, and I decided to build an belt sander on my lathe.
Than I'm able to make half segmented rings, flatten these half rings on the belt sander and glue them together till one complete segmented ring.
Than I have perfect segmented rings.
Nontheless the mitre saw works perfect, so I maked a step into the right direction.
The bowl is 10'' in diameter, and is finished with two layers of blanc transparent stain. Used light colored wood, my favorite color:D

Thanks Jeff, I'm still busy with the design, it have to be an easy to build on, and easy to take off belt sander.

Thanks Ned, hope to see soon a segmented turning from you, I bet you like it, just like me.

That is sweet Ad, and good to hear the saw worked well.

I might just be getting into segmented turnings, I've only got a few bowl blanks left, and I've not found a source for any new wet wood :(

Hey guys, thank you all very much.
Stuart, besides I love it in the first place to make my own stuff, segmented turnings is one of my favorites, it's time consuming but also very satisfying to do. :D
