So the Hospice nearby is having a silent auction in a couple of weeks. I decided to make them a couple of things to sell.

First is a small spanish cedar box. Smelled like sharpening a pencil when I made it. Based on golden ratios - height:width and width:length.

Second is a Shaker style carrier. Case of 1/4" cherry, with an ash handle.

Grain wraps around both.

And thanks to Mike Wenzloff for crafting the saw which crafted the boxes.

Beautiful work, Ken. I truly hope the lucky new owners of these pieces appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making them.

A very good example of the K.I.S.S. rule, calm and gentle statement, not disturbing but complementing, love in the making that shows through, I'm sure they will get quite high biddings.

BTW I didn't know we had any cedar trees in Spain:dunno:

I'd like to see more...
