Well when Pat graduated high school she was 3rd in her graduating class out of 500 kids there was 1/10th of a point between the top 3 kids. she was added to the honor society. (I could never figure out why she picked me? Maybe my sad puppy dog eyes did it  )

I probably told you already she's going to Providence College to get her business degree so she can make a more money a degree in human relations (business)= more money. Well she just got a letter from Providence College they have inducted her into the Alpha Sigma Lamda society of SCE (School of continuing education) Honor Society. Dang that woman never ceases to amaze me. Now if only I could find a way around her sarcasm

I definitely give her a "ATTA GIRL" & a pat on the tushy for making me proud.

Probable a good way to make her feel really good is to cook (or take her out for) her favorite dinner. Dance a little. When you get home, draw her a warm bath with some bubble beads, then apply some body lotion................................. what you do from there is your decision, but I can tell you this. She will KNOW how much she means to you AND remember it for a LOOOOOOONG time.

Chuck...tell the wife Congrats......and I hope you and Bruce remember this is a family atmosphere site......Not too many details!:rolleyes::D

Congrats to you lovely wife Chuck!

I married a really smart gal as well, dunno exactly why she married me, but I'm not going to argue with her, remember, she is smarter than me ;) :D

Congrats Chuck, be proud on your beautiful lady.
But ehhhh, woman, are they coming from another planet?
I met mine on the dancefloor, long time ago, and it was BINGO.
Well my lady is a specialist in making costumes, so when you need something !

Congrats to the Missus, Chuck. Maybe she chose you for balance. ;) I know LOML and I are opposites in a lot of ways, but we take advantage of it and use it to even ourselves out.

Thanks Guys I'll tell her. we do frustrate the heck out of each other but I just can't be with a proverbial blonde. I need intelligence & she is definitely that.

She says I'm the cross that she bears to save the rest of woman kind from me.:rofl: Besides that she swings a mean cast iron fry pan.

Chuck,
Congrats to Pat and to you. Believe me I know it's not easy for a couple to do the higher education thing...and I'm learning more and more about that Alpha Sima stuff. Me...high school grad (barely I might add)...Laurie, aka DrLoml...Ph.D...professor at URI.

Sounds like you got a keeper there. That is great though and congradulations to you both. As suggested, I would try the bath thing...can't go wrong there. :)

Me and my wife are kind of opposites. Okay we are opposites in every way. I never went to college, just an old farm boy that made do by making the railroad work for me. Anyway she went to college and got two degrees. One in Education and the other in Environmental Science. The last is kind of funny because I am a farmer...pesticides, genetically altered crops and logging were everyday things to me. We clash all the time because of our conservative and liberal way of looking at things, but somehow we make it work

Glen,
I didn't know you were a neighbor. A fellow Rhode Islander.:D

We both went to college late I went when I was 35 yrs old I have a associates degree I went for HVAC I graduated in 1992 & I'm a mailman go figure:huh:
I was a very bad student when I was young & quit high school in the 10th grade. I never cared for school.

Pat started school when she was 42 & she's about 3/4 of the way done.

If we only know when were young what we know when we get older;)
