I got this chunk of Mesquite crotch from Ernie Nyvall a while back. It had a very punky pith on one side that got a heavy CA treatment. It's a nice piece of Mesquite, but nothing special about the turning.

It ended up 10" wide and 7" tall... I got kinda hung up on the top and couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do. Feel free to make comments/critiques/suggestions.

Not a bad looking piece there. I agree with you that the top would have been tough to decide. The bottom portion has so much going on with the inclusion and void, makes it tough for the top to match up.

Hope the piece I gave ya gets as good of a treatment as this piece. Nice job!!!!

Mark - love the form! Interesting piece of wood. Great color, finish, grain pattern and voids! Have to admit you got the touch when it comes to hollow forms! Nice work!

Amazing what some super glue and a bit of patience will do. Looks real nice, Mark. :thumb: Even your hollow forms have natural edges on them. ;)
