Well,
I finally borrowed a digicam to take some pictures of a few pieces.

It is a maple HF about 9" in diameter and 6" high. It has little bit of everything (some spalting, curl, bark inclusion, etc). It was sanded to 400 grit and wiped with a secret thinned epoxy recipe developed by a friend. It has not been buffed but I may decide to do it later.

FYI-I plan to add a lid w/finial once the right piece of wood comes along...

That's sure a pretty piece of maple, Dick. Sort of a textbook lesson in maple figure variations. You did a real nice job of finding the hollow form inside of it, too. ;)
