Finished my work on the lathe powered beltsander for my own use.
Runs very smooth with 400 rpm.
It's not mothers most beauty, but it works like I wanted.
It's mounted on the headspindle of the lathe lathe with a coupling and a clamping device, so easy to mount and easy to take off.
Anyway for me, a lot of fun building such a thing.

Have fun.

Very Cool, Ad! :thumb:

I looked back through your original [Design Beltsander and progress] thread, but I can't figure out how you adjust the belt tension or alignment. Either there's something I'm not seeing, or your tolerances are very tight indeed!

Hoi Kerry, every roller has his own slot brech on each side, needed to bring inline the roller connected with the coupling, and also to set the other rollers parallel
It's just the matter to set the rollers parallel by tension by hand. I controled this with a caliper. Not much tension is needed with using this kind of sanding belts. Thanks for your attention.

BTW. I give it a try to figure out an oval turning device, not sure if I succeed,
but I see a possibility, so if you are interested, I keep you informed
on your personal email address, if this is okay by you.
Anyway something to brake my neck on.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Ad, very clever. Where’d you get the idea from or was it your own?

Thanks Bruce, it was my own idea, but as a mechanical engineer I know how to build things. I have a small workshop, so this solution was the best for me.
